Garden Work Day

The garden work day is a wonderful opportunity for members to put practice in action while beautifying and caring for our grounds.

Just as we work to uproot our unhelpful habits so too do we uproot the weeds in our garden. Each practice helps to strengthen the other. Come and join us for a day of cleaning, weeding, pruning and planting and help prepare the Zen Centre grounds for 2022.

Details

All skill levels are welcome. Participants are encouraged to bring their own gloves and masks. The Centre will provide them if you cannot bring you own.

Masks are required for everyone. We will be keeping 6' away from each other. Hand sanitizer and wipes will be provided, and a hand washing station with soap and water available at the laundry sink just inside the basement door. Bathrooms in the basement will be available. Please do not come if you feel the slightest bit ill or might have been in contact with someone who is sick.

Registration—By May 21

This is a full work day from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. If you cannot sign up for the full day there is an option for half day sign up in either the morning or afternoon. It would be a great help if people would register by Saturday, May 21, so that we know how many to expect ahead of time..

BYO Outdoor Lunch

Lunch will not be served this year due to logistical complications stemming from the pandemic. So please bring your own if you are staying for the whole day. Remember, vegetarian food only: no meat, fish, poultry or alcohol.

Schedule

There are three options:

• Full Day: 9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
• Morning Only: 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
• Afternoon Only: 12:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
